During my internship, I gained practical knowledge and skills in drafting Public Interest Litigation (PIL) petitions. I learned how to structure a PIL, including preparing the cover page, synopsis, list of dates and events, statement of facts, questions of law, grounds, averments, prayer, affidavit, and annexures. The experience helped me understand the importance of clear legal writing, researching relevant laws and precedents, and presenting issues affecting public interest in a precise and persuasive manner. Overall, this internship enhanced my drafting skills and deepened my understanding of the procedures involved in filing PILs before the courts.
